Oppo has updated its A-line of devices with the new Oppo A57 mid-range mobile running Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage and featuring a 16MP front-facing selfie camera. The newly-released Oppo A57 is available for pre-orders in China for 1,599 Yuan (~$230). Oppo will start shipping the new A57 phone starting by 12th of December. Its availability in the western markets remains to be unknown.
The Oppo A57 sports a characteristical Oppo-like design with a 5.2-inch IPS HD touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and runs the octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable flash storage. It comes with ColorOS 3.0 built-in Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
An impressive upgrade coming with the Oppo A57 phone is its 16MP selfie camera featuring f/2.2 aperture lens. The main camera is a 13MP unit with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). Oppo’s A57 is a great pick-up budget phone for photography.
The latest Oppo-made phone features earphone jack and sports decent connectivity features as well. It supports two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n dual-band, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a Fingerprint sensor embedded on the multi-functional Home button. It gets powered by a 2,900 mAh battery that is claimed of being capable of allowing you to use it for up to 13 hours without having to recharge your phone. The handset will be available in Rose Gold and Gold colors.
