Sony, whose index includes some of the best mobile phones ever made announced the Xperia XZ flagship and X Compact at the IFA event in the early days of September. In less than twenty days from debut, Sony wasted little time to release one of the two units for pre-orders, starting by today, the Xperia X Compact is available to pre-order in all three available colors via Amazon for $449.99 (the retail pricing is $499.99 but Sony is offering a $50 price cut).
Sony’s Xperia X Compact offers pretty amazing specs for the price. It comes sporting a 4.6-inch Corning Gorilla Glass display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD resolution), a 23MP predictive hybrid autofocus camera on the rear with five times digital zoom and LED flash for shooting full HD videos at 1080p and a 5MP selfie snapper that also records full HD videos.
The X Compact runs on the Snapdragon 650 SoC with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 256GB. As storage won’t be a problem with the Xperia X Compact smartphone by Sony, you’re provided with a smooth user interface thanks to its Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. But, no news yet if it will be released with Android 7.0 Nougat or not. Probably, it will.
Sony implemented top-notch connectivity supports on its new member of Xperia line of devices, the Xperia X Compact supports 4G LTE network, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C, and use as a remote control for PS4. A phone for gaming.
In the terms of power, X Compact houses a 2,700 mAh battery unit with Quick Charge technology.
