Vivo V5 Plus with dual selfie cameras and metal design goes official

Vivo has upgraded last year’s Vivo V5 with the new dual camera selfie phone Vivo V5 Plus improved device sporting a dual-camera setup on the front with Selfie SpotLight feature.

The new Vivo V5 Plus sports a metal body design and a full HD LCD touchscreen display (upgrade compared to Vivo V5’s HD screen) with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone hosts its predecessor’s 20MP Sony IMX376 camera sensor on the front, but this time it is backed by a secondary 8MP camera. The phone is made to shoot outstanding selfies and record full HD videos. The 16MP phase detection autofocus camera on the rear with a LED flash for recording 4K videos. All three featured cameras have a large f/2.0 aperture lens.

Vivo V5 Plus

Vivo’s latest selfie-first V5 Plus smartphone runs the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. Its features are highlighted by Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 skin on top. The V5 Plus phone supports two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the Home button at the front. Vivo will be shipping the handset with a customized AKM AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip that delivers a signal-to-ratio of up to 115dB.

Vivo V5 Plus

The V5 Plus gets powered by a 3,160 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology for fast charging. It measures dimensions of 152.58 x 74 x 7.26mm, weighs 158.6grams, and currently only one color of the phone is listed for availability, the Gold version.
