Elephone S7 smartphone with edge screen design was expected to launch for pre-orders starting by October 20th, but as a surprise, the retailer TomTop has already listed all three versions of the handset for pre-order. Furthermore, besides retailing the S7, TomTop has received the exclusivity to also retail first the other flagship, the Elephone R9. The Elephone S7 is widely considered as the budget Galaxy S7 Edge version of mobile.
Elephone S7 and Elephone R9 share the same DNA in terms of specifications, the design is the only thing that makes them differ.
Elephone’s S7 comes sporting a bezel-less seamless metal body with curving on both sides and a 5.5-inch FHD touchscreen display (1920 x 1080). The Elephone R9 sports the same FHD 5.5-inch screen but lacks the curve to add a tiny bezel on top of an ultra-thin metallic body measuring just 0.6mm.
Both Elephone flagships come equipped with a 13MP autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture lens on the rear and 5MP selfie snappers on the front with f/2.4 aperture. Both cameras record videos at 1080 pixels. Also, they both run the 64-bit deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset paired with Mali-T880 GPU and come in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAM models where each of the respective models has 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of storage. All of the three models for both phones support microSD up to 128GB and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
In the terms of connectivity, the Elephone S7 and R9 support two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG, multi-functional Home button with fingerprint sensor, and a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge technology
