As expected, Gionee today officially announced its 5.7-inch flagship 2K curved display phone featuring dual cameras, 6GB of RAM and an enormous battery capacity of 7,000 mAh. The Gionee M2017 has officially made its way in the Chinese market today where will be going on pre-sale mode starting by January 2017 for the starting price of 6,999 Yuan (approximately $1007). What you might not know is that Gionee M2017 is the next-level premium phone without a headphone jack.
The Gionee M2017 phone sports a premium metal body design with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD touchscreen display boasting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It sports a combination of a 12MP and a 13MP camera’s on the rear with f/1.7 aperture lens, 2-time optical zoom, 8-time digital zoom for shooting videos at 4K resolution and for snapping photos at a maximum resolution of 4208 x 3120 pixels. The 8MP selfie camera on the front snaps photos at 3000 x 4000 pixels in resolution. The phone doesn’t seem to be lacking anything in terms of photography.
As previously reported, the M2017 phone by Gionee truly runs on the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset clocked at 1.95GHz with 6GB of RAM and comes in 128GB and 256GB of storage versions with expansion support via microSD and are pre-loaded with Amigo OS 3.5 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Gionee’s M2017 flagship supports two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and fingerprint sensor found on the Home button. The handset comes with pre-installed built-in security software’s to guarantee its users secure payments and secured data. Besides 6GB of RAM, the next-big-thing coming with the Gionee M2017 phablet is the featuring of a massive 7,000 mAh battery. The phone will be providing an expanded battery life and a shortened charging period thanks to Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology that comes supported by the phone.
Chinese phone manufacturers usually bring hi-end handsets at a cheap price, Gionee does that too, but this time wasn’t the case. Gionee M2017 will come in two major versions, 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage that will sell for 6,999 Yuan (1007) and a premium version with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage that will be priced at 16,999 Yuan ($2446). Some might be wishing for a 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version that sells for cheaper now.
