Samsung will be unveiling the next generation mid rangers of Galaxy A series at CES 2017 event on January 5. And for that Samsung has begun sending invitations to the event, based on the invitations Samsung sent, the first of the phones that will roll out is set to be the 5.2-incher Galaxy A5 2017. During the same event, but later days, Samsung will be announcing the Galaxy A3 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 upgraded versions.
Currently, only official press renders of the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2013) have leaked out and became official ahead of the announcement.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) specifications, renders, and price
The 2017 edition of the Samsung Galaxy A5 will be sporting a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device sports glass material coating on both sides.
It will be running the octa-core Exynos 7880 chipset with eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 1.9GHz with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage supporting microSD up to 256GB, and Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade out of the box. The 5.2-inch Galaxy A5 2017 edition will be sporting a 16MP phase detection autofocus rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a large f/1.8 aperture, HDR, and LED flash. In addition, there is another 16MP autofocus camera on the front with f/1.8 aperture and selfie effects. Both cameras record full-HD videos at 1080 pixels.
The latest Galaxy A5 will come in single-SIM and dual-SIM versions, it will support 4G LTE network, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, USB 2.0, and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Home button. Galaxy A5 will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, possess an IP67 certification for its durability against water and dust and might go up for pre-orders starting by January for an estimated price of $450.

The other model who’s renders are already official ahead of launch is the 4.7-inch Galaxy A3 2017 edition. The latter also sports a glass body made of the 4th generation of Corning Gorilla Glass but with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (it is the same Super AMOLED display, the size is smaller).
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will be running the company’s own Exynos 7870 with eight Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5GHz backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The expandable memory remains unchanged to 256GB and there is ANdorid 7.0 Nougat upgrade as well.
The new Samsung’s Galaxy A3 will feature a 13MP autofocus camera on the rear with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing FHD camera on the front. It will support two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, but no fingerprint sensor. Price for this phone is rumored to start at $370, which is too expensive for the specs. Hopefully, the source is mistaken.
