Huawei has brought the trend of curved phones to the next level, the new Huawei-made Honor Magic is the curviest phone you can find today. This phone is curved on both sides and all four edges and its sleek and bezel-less design give it a similar look to the all-screen Xiaomi Mi Mix.
Huawei Honor Magic sports a 5.09-inch Super AMOLED Quad-HD display with an impressive resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels driving pixel’s density at a mind-boggling point of 577 pixel-per-inch (the small screen featured on the phone provides the high pixel density). Honor Magic runs on the 64-bit octa-core Kirin 950 processor with four Cortex-A72 CPU cores clocked at 2.3GHz and four Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8GHz and backed by 4GB of RAM, 64GB of non-expandable memory (unfortunately, no microSD is supported) and Honor Magic Live OS skin based Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Huawei’s curved flagship Honor Magic features two 12MP cameras on the rear where one is color and the other monochrome with f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash, and HDR for snapping photos at a maximum resolution of 3968 x 2976 pixels. The selfie camera housed on the Honor Magic is an 8MP unit for shooting videos in full HD.
Honor Magic supports two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, USB Type-C, dual-band WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG and a fingerprint sensor found on the physical Home button on the front.
A special upgrade coming with the newest member of Huawei’s Honor line of devices is the implemented Artifical Intelligence technology coming with the handset. Its makers have installed an AI software within the phone called FaceCode Intelligent Recognition that will show notifications only if it is you the one holding the phone. The phone also comes with an extra security feature called WiseScreen and it uses an infrared sensor on the phone’s front camera combined with another sensor on the phone’s frame to open the screen by recognizing your eyes and hands. The last AI feature coming with the phone is the built-in virtual assistant which will remind you to complete tasks and suggest you goods based on your conversations in chat. Hopefully, it won’t be annoying to you.
Huawei Honor Magic smartphone gets powered by a 2,900 mAh battery with the support of an incredible fast charging technology that requires only 10 minutes to fuel the battery at 40%. Honor Magic will be priced at around $500 as a premium device, it will start selling in China starting by 25 of December while its availability in the western markets remains to be unknown.
