Vivo will be launching an upgraded version of Vivo V5 in a special event in Delhi, India on January 23rd. The new and better Vivo V5 Plus phone will improve the Vivo V5, relatively cheap phone with little features announced in November of 2016. Vivo V5 has little to offer to the expanding market of India, but the new V5 Plus will definitely change something. Ahead of the official release, exclusive renders of the phone are circulating online and showing the 5.5 incher in all of its glory.

Vivo V5 Plus

The upgraded Vivo V5 Plus goes as a budget selfie phone bearing the same 5.5-inch display but this time it will be in full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The handset will be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable memory, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 2.6 skin on top.

Vivo V5 Plus

Vivo launched V5 as a selfie first smartphone featuring a 20MP camera on the front. Vivo will be continuing the tradition because the unofficial Vivo V5 Plus will also be a selfie phone but this time it will have two cameras on the front. The front camera is expected to be the same 20MP Sony IMX376 phase detection autofocus unit with f/2.0 aperture but this time it will have another 8MP unit for better photo snaps and video recording. Little is known about the rear camera, but probably it will be again a 13MP full HD unit.

Vivo V5 Plus

Vivo’s V5 Plus will be supporting two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. It will measure dimensions of 152.58 x 74 x 7.26 mm, weigh 158.6 grams and get powered by a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology for faster charging. Pricing of the phone remains to be unknown.
